How long have you been working at your current job?

I have been at my job 5 years today, which means I earn more vacation time. I am taking 6 days off next week not including the weekend. Looking forward to relaxing and taking a break from working for a moment.

I have been working with this government contract for the past 25 years, we have changed contractor Company's about 4 times but they always recognized the years of service so my vacation time is the highest and I love it.

i quit work in 2001 to keep my granddaughter..she is now almost 14 and her sister is almost 11...so they stay at home for an hour or so until their mama or daddy get home from work...so i am officially retired i guess...but i will be picking them up at school this year...

May 25th marked my five year anniversary. I also got an extra weeks vacation, which I've already used, LOL!

I've been at my current job for 18 years.  It really doesn't seem like it has been that long, but I suppose that's usually how it happens.  You blink your eyes and the next thing you know you're an old person!

I had a great job once where after a year, you automatically qualified for 2 weeks paid vacation and after that, the days grew via hours.  After 4 years, I had a month built up. it was great to have extra time off around holidays. If a holiday fell on a Monday, I would take the following Tues. The place I worked also shut down for a week at the July 4th and between Christmas and New Year's.  I would take the week off before Christmas. The rest of the days would be single days at holidays like Memorial Day, 1 extra before to prepare for celebration, etc.
