Nothing for Free
« on: March 05, 2016, 02:28:48 pm »
Yesterday I received an email for free tickets to a show at my casino. Today I probably paid for those tickets throughout the day gambling. nothing is for free even if offered.

Sort of like Obamacare. Or better yet Bernie sanders free education, free healthcare free every thing. Well some where it is going to have to be paid for. And it won't be by the ones getting it free, UNTIL those getting free education go to work and then they will scream to high heaven about the taxes they will have to pay. Yep nothing is free.

No, we the tax payers pay for all that stuff.  It is free to them that receive it but somebody is paying for it.

You know, so many times I have heard people say " if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". Even financial experts agree with this. So when I hear about something that sounds to good to be true, I file it away under "T" for trash! I'm really not bothered that I might have thrown something away which could have lead to a free vacation in Barbados... instead I tell myself how much time I've saved by not investigating the matter further. I feel sorry for the older generation who are generally from a more trusting time in history - they don't deserve to be abused like that.

You are right nothing is for free -- there is always a cost whether it's money or something else!

Depends on the situation, but yea there's usually a catch 22.

couldn't agree more.  there's always a catch to things when you get them free for no reason

Agreed there really isn't anything truly for free - always a cost or a catch or a gimmick but with that said I am sure you probably had a good time regardless - I hope so anyway.

How is that we can always find money to pay for war, but when it comes to things that actually help human beings instead of destroying them,  people start worrying about how much it's gonna cost?

I agree with the catch 22. You rarely find anything that is truly free.
