Prayer chain PLEASE!!!
« on: March 06, 2016, 04:23:05 pm »
Please everyone... Please keep my mother Angela in your prayers. My mom is 61 years old and was diagnosed with BREAST CANCER almost 3 weeks ago and then recently had a PET scan and they said it spread to her lymph nodes and her bones. This ugly disease literally just turned our worlds upside down!! I'm angry, sad, confused and dying inside and have to stay strong for her and don't want to fall apart in front of her! She went from stage 2b to now stage 4!   :'(  :(  >:(

Thank you all for reading my post and I just hope she can pull thru this!! I have faith and I am trying to stay positive but how can you hold it together when the only person you felt safe with your whole life may leave you before her time??! That's my mommy and I am 43 years old and feel like someone stomped on my heart.  :'(  :(

Kimber, I am so very very sorry to hear about your mother,  I have breast cancer also, had surgery, 4 months of chemo, and 34 radiation treatments.  I am now taking a chemo pill everyday for 5 years.  After my surgery I also had a pet scan.  My doctor was not sure what the stage would be, but I was told even it were stage 4 it is NOT (lister to that) NOT a death sentence.  She said she has many patients who have stage 4 and are still living 10 years later.  Thankfully I was staged at 3, but 3 is not good either.  Please don't get too upset, trust me, I realize that is easier said than done.  First see what treatment her doctors are going to do.  Try your best to be strong for your mom, you may be scared, but think how scared she is.  Try not to cry in front of her, when I saw people crying, I cried too.  I will pray for your mom, I know she has a long, hard road ahead of her, but with the help of the doctors, family, friends, and of course God she can walk that road for many many years..  Please keep me updated and if I can answer any questions or help you in any way, please know I am here,  God Bless your mom and the entire family.

Nancy, thank you so much for your comforting words! I feel a little more hopeful! Day by day it seems to get harder and harder especially when I do not live close to her. I wish I could be there for her all the time. Exactly how I felt and see it in my mind is that once you hear "stage 4" there is no chance! But thank you for reminding me of all the survivors including you that are living proof there is a way to beat this ugly disease! I try so hard not to cry in front of her or while on the phone but privately I break down. I have faith in God and I am very positive she can beat this. Thank you again and God bless you! Thank God you are doing well and I pray you stay strong and free from that ugly disease from now until you are called home...in Jesus' name, Amen! :angel11:

Thank you for your kind words Kimber.  I have a friend who is stage 4 and has been for about 2 years.  If you looked at her you wouldn't know anything was wrong with her.  She has breast cancer which traveled to her bones in her legs and later spine.  After the chemo and her hair came back she looks great!  I know it's hard hearing those words 'cancer' but it isn't always a death sentence.  I go to one of the 2 large hospitals in my city.  I was at a concert in our city 6 months ago.  It was sponsored by the other hospital and during a part of the program they said it was sponsored by the hospital and the cancer center.  He said all the cancer survivors from our hospital stand up.  There were 800 of them standing, I didn't make a mistake it was 800!  Be brave for her she is terrified but like I said see what the doctors have planned.  Please know I am here if you need to ask anything, just want to talk, or if you want to vent.  I did pray for your mom, God bless!

kimber62372 and Nancy5 I am keeping both of you, kimber62372 your mother, and both of your entire family/friends in my prayers.

Heavenly Father,

Please hold kimber62372 (especially her mother) and Nancy5 close at this time of uncertainty.
Remind them of your promises when they are feeling overwhelmed.
Whisper words of love when they feel alone.
Lie them down in peace when they are weary.
Give all who care for them great waves of wisdom.
Lead them through this journey singing songs of hope over their lives.
Quiet their soul as they face the surgery and treatment of cancer.
Come quell the fears that they have, and fill their hearts and minds with your everlasting love.
Amen. :angel11:

I will put your mom in my prayers. Remember God calls us home on his time not ours. It is always a great loss when someone leaves us to a heavenly abode but one day we will be united forever. I lost my mom only 2 years ago and its not an easy thing to deal with but my faith in God and a look at the eternal future he has for me keeps me going. You have your memories of your mom and the love of Jesus to be with you always and who knows God may answer your prayer and your mom will be with you for many more years to come. It's all in the hands of God.

Sorry to hear about your situation kimber62372, Nancy5 had some positive input. Keep your mind focused in a positive manner and stay focused that way. Also to start the good fight, look into juicing if you havent done so. Remember positive thinking manifests positive results! Good luck!

Special prayers to the Mighty Physician has gone up for healing your mother and comfort for you.  I pray your mother knows the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.  He holds the key to the future whether on this Earth or in Heaven.

kimber62372,
I know how scary hearing your mom has breast cancer can be.  36 years ago my mom got her diagnosis of breast cancer.  At that time, it was like hearing a death sentence.

However, my mom is a fighter and she is a woman of faith.

She underwent radical masectomy and lymph nodes were taken.  Followed with chemo and radiation.

Last Spring, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 uterine cancer.  At age 85, it was a big blow to think about going through the cancer treatments again.  Did I mention that she is a fighter and a woman of faith?

She did surgery and chemo at half-strength due to her age.  Her last chemo was in August 2015.

Her last checkup shows the cancer has not changed since chemo stopped.  Her hair has come in wavy this time.  You wouldn't know anything was wrong with her just looking at her.

There is hope as Nancy5 has shared!

Prayers for you and your mom as well as Nancy5!
