Have you ever gone to the Circus?

I wasn't able to take my kids to the circus every year because the tickets are unbelievably expensive. I took them once when they were young than once when there were preteens. I remember how exciting they got, to the point of that is wanted to do in life, well that did not happen  was able to juggle but could not ride the unicycle for a second. I remember the tent. My daughter walks through her memories to me at times. I like to go there on a date. I enjoy the whole experience and I really don't have a favorite act, do you? Have a gr8 day

I haven't been to a typical circus since I was a child.   I haven't gone since I was old enough to be aware of how dismal the lives of those animals performing in those animal acts truly are, which I consider abusive.  I am so HAPPY that Ringling Bros are retiring all the elephants to sanctuaries this year... it is a step in the right direction.

I do attend the Cirque du Soleil shows almost every year... the shows are considered Circuses & they are beautiful   I've seen just about every one in Vegas as well... "O" is my absolute favorite.

I went to the circus probably once in my life; it was when I was a Brownie Girl Scout and it was with Ringling Brothers. Even as an 8-year-old, I wasn't all that fascinated.

In the past when my daughter was younger, I would go to the circus when it was in town.  I haven't been in a number of years.

When I was a kid my parents took me to the circus, but I haven't been since I became an adult.

Yes, only once when I was a child. I didn't enjoy it much though, cause for whatever reason they had THREE acts going on at the same time. On one side they had a bear riding a bike, above they had a person on tightrope. I don't recall the third act, it was so long ago. I didn't know where to look. I would hear "ooohs and aaahs" coming from different directions and bout time I turned my head, I had missed it. I remember being so frustrated, lol...

I"m with you!  We did take our son when he was very young, many many years ago.   It bothered me watching the animals and without being told it was obvious they were abused.  Very sad.

Love, love, love the Cirque du Soleil shows.  Have seen many of them including O but my favorite is Love, big Beatle fan so that show was a hit with us.

Never been to a circus and will probably never go to one... But I have been a carnival when I was a little kid

yes  have taken my kids to the circus when they were younger  and I now take my grandkids when the circus is in town or close to us.    so much fun

I've only ever been to the circus to boycott it. The way they treat the animals involved is despicable. Look up some undercover footage and you'll never want to give your money to monsters like Ringling again. So sad of them to beat those animals into submission... I don't see how anyone could think it's a fun past time for the kids...

we used to take my son every year when he was little.  he still likes to go even at 19 but we haven't been in years.  you're right when you said it was so expensive though.  that's the main reason we stopped going.
