Can anyone tell me what Maddi on your paycheck means,this takes more money then Medicare state ,fed,or county taxes

FICA IS 6.2% AND MEDICARE IS 1.45%

don't remember seeing that on my paycheck .. your best bet is to ask your employer what it is

Yes I agree with dwggs.  That is a unusual marking.   I work in accounting and have never seen that term.   Could it be insurance of some sort?

Is Maddi a local tax...for city or local work area? Looks like MADDI is a Florida thing for non profits? Best check with your payroll or HR department.  Could be a deduction of retirement program instead of social security or SSI deductions.

It not appear on my taxes so I don't know.  I think it's good idea to ask your employer too.

Do you have insurance through your employer? This would be my guess. The "ADDI" could stand for Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.

This tax or deduction must be related to your employer. Contact your HR department to see what this MADDI charge is all about. Keep us posted and good luck! :)

   I really do not know what Maddi, included in your payroll check, means. Google it: Maddi payroll deduction and see what it shows. Also, you could ask your personnel office about your paycheck.

The best way to get the answer you need is to call the human recourse from your employer. Who knows what that means.
