As with alcohol or other drugs it depends largely on whether you are a man or a woman and how much you weigh.  Men and larger people are less susceptible to the effects of caffeine or other mind altering agents.  I drink energy drinks daily that range from 160 to 320 mg of caffeine.

I don't know the exact amount because it probably varies. But I do notice that sometimes caffeine makes my heart race which sometimes makes my anxiety worse. But overall, I don't think caffeine makes my anxiety much worse. I only drink 1 or 2 cups of coffee a day so I doubt it affects it too much.

As someone with severe anxiety problems, I cut caffeine out of my diet entirely. I'll have the occasional cup of coffee, but usually only if I need the energy boost.

I didn't think I ever had a caffeine addition until I got pregnant with my first son. I had quite bad morning sickness and I totally went off tea and coffee in any form! So because I wasn't having any caffeine, I got terrible headaches for a week.  Of course as soon as my son was into the second and third trimesters, the headaches disappeared and I started loving the tea and coffee. I went through the exact same thing with my second son two years later.

As long as you are lower than 400mg of caffeine you should be fine.. I think it's more of, how much you depend on caffeine. If you drink it daily and you stopped, you could have caffeine withdrawal.. I remember when I stopped drinking coffee for several days (college breaks), gave me the biggest headache and anxiety throughout the day..

Also it depends on how ur body metabolizes caffeine.. If you consume less than 150mg of caffeine and exercise than you should not have any problems regarding anxiety

Here is a article about caffeine and anxiety:

Caffeine consumption in moderation is OK. If you overdo it, you will suffer from side effects like:
Depression, anxiety, high blood pressure and many more. So, be careful!

Good question. I have alot of anxiety and I use marijuana. I love cokes for the caffeine but I haven't really thought about it affecting my anxiety too much. Thanks...
