walking to check the mail
« on: September 06, 2016, 11:09:31 am »
Today was such a beautiful weather day that I decided to check the mail by walking to the mailbox. Didn't take long and was a good walk. A little exercise or being active is healthier than none.

That's what we've been doing more and more is walking to our mailbox. It's about 3 streets over from where we live. Not only has the weather been nice but we're really into the pokemon go craze right now so we're catching some pokemon and hatching eggs as we go.

My mailbox is relatively for and I try and check it daily just for the walk. It's gorgeous weather here.

yup simple tasks is good exercise. When my kids were small, only time I got to go outside is when I did a chore and I got a sun tan just by doing them. lol

Well this thread makes me feel good. Mt mailbox is at the end of my drive which is not very far at all so naturally I just walk to it. Although lately I have been walking a mile up my road before getting the mail. I need the exercise and the fresh air. I want to lose 10 pounds or so. Not over weight but need to walk off my sweet tooth. I was beginning to think it made no difference and became less motivated. Thanks for your positive postings, have restored my motivation. :highfive:

I always walk to my mailbox. My wife says it's my daily exercise routine.

Mailbox is right out the door so not much walking to that but do walk the dogs twice a day.  We both get our exercise in for the day
