The only me option on Facebook

What is the only me setting for on Facebook? Why would you share something that only you can see?

I use "only me" when I am posting sweepstakes for an extra entry.

i use it on some things where it says i may have to post for an extra entry..i dont want everyone to see everything

I play a lot of game on facebook and when i don't want everyone to see what the games post i put it on "only me"

Before Facebook implemented the Save Link option, I used Only Me to repost links or recipes that I could come back and read later and not spam my friends' feeds with them.

sometimes i use it when i just want to post till i get to a printer to print it off or if its something i want to read later and dont want to bother people with it

I use the only me setting when I share news articles I do not have time to read at the moment so I can look at them later.

I haven't seen that option.  Is it new?  It's something I would use regularly.  Sometimes I see people post "for later".  I think that's different though.  I'm going to look into the me option.

I used to use that option, only me, to archive/back-up personal photos off my computer... I didn't want to share the photos with anybody, just wanted to be able to see them more often, & clean up my computer.
