My highways after work are very busy, and I get home if I take the side streets.

Lately I've been riding the city bus when I donate plasma.  That's kind of like going to work.  I have to be on the bus for almost an hour because it has a designated route.  I'm okay with that because I like the scenery.  I'm also okay with that because I'm only paying $3 for transportation where I'm going to be paid $30 for donating.

I could ride a bike but this time of year it's nicer to be inside the bus.
Do you have a Bus Pass? I know in Portland as an Honored Citizen I can have unlimited use of all the public transportation for $28 a month.

I work in a different town/county than were I live.  It takes me about an hour each way.  Most if the drive is on the freeway or open country road.

I drive on major highways.   It takes roughly an hour and 1/2 to drive but I only have to drive it once a week.  I'm gone for about 4 days at a time then drive back home off for about three days.

I take the streets, it's only 2 miles from where I live...a very easy, straight drive.  I LOVE that!!   :)

I'm lucky and it only takes 10 minutes maybe to get to work. I'm still off some busy roads so I hit traffic sometimes on the way home

It takes me 50 minutes to get to work. I have no choice to take highways because it is not near any interstates. If it were I would be able to drive a little faster and get there sooner.

I have a 40 mile drive one way. I swear i feel like i take my life in my hands every time i do it. I am dodging people who are distracted and driving crazy, the whole commute. I was actually rear ended last week! some dummy just ran smack into the back of me. Never hit his brakes! I was at a red light, jut sitting. My car is totaled, I am stressed and in pain. Ruined all of my christmas plans. Needless to say, i am going to buy a tank for my commute!  :silly:

I have a 15 mile commute. It isn't so bad when the college kids are trying to go to school. When it's school season, all bets are off. Traffic is awful.
