How many of you are looking forward to 2017? This year wasn't that bad for me, but I definitely want to see good changes.

I think January 1st is always a good time to start over and reflect on what went right the year before and what could have gone better.

I don't look forward to new years, since it's highly doubtful it'll be any better than the last one. I can't wait for spring though; this winter is already brutal, and we haven't even gotten  half-way through.

I didn't realize Christmas was this weekend.  I thought it was two weeks away so now I'm rushing to get things done and plus prepare for a cruise the first week of January.

I am hopeful that in 2017 my husband and I will be better off financially. I'm looking forward to paying down this debt and becoming financially free.

In my opinion 2016 was a disaster (not my personal life, but politics etc wise). I hope 2017 will be better :)

I only see more disappointment for us in 2017. Already, the government has been so kind They gave us a COLA raise only for Medicare to take the exact same amount away, so no raise for me. COLA is a sick joke. Doesn't matter anyway. I never see a penny. it stays in the bank for the bills.

Because of the healthcare mess, our prescription care costs went $100 more and our medical supplement (which is needed on top of Medicare) went up $200. So any COLA wouldn't even cover that and hubby's SS will be less because of those costs.

We were living on $900 a month this year for everything including groceries so 2017 will be even less. I cut back my grocery bill to $150 every 2-3 months. I used to spend that much every month.  Now I guess I'll have to cut back even more. Thank heavens for coupons and big, big sales so I can get buy...but meat and fish are beginning to be a luxury.

2016 was a mixture of good & bad for me. Much as I hope for better in 2017, the forecast looks to be much the same for me.

Can't wait for 2017! So much to look forward to after what was a bit of a rough 2016.
