Escape or Vacation?
« on: January 30, 2017, 08:51:38 am »
Let me think, you go alone some where, or go on my day or road trip I call that my escape. But, an vacation is when I have to plan, money, money and time. Today is National Escape Day! Do you need to escape from stuff? I wish you a successful escape today, have a gr8 day.  :present:

I need to escape from everything! Haha. From financial problems, looking for work, household chores... Give me a vacation or an escape.  :P :) Everyday escapes for me are reading, taking walks, or some retail therapy.

Everyday's a holiday, everyday's an escape.  All you have to do is cordon yourself off from the madness of this materialistic world.

It is always good to have a place of escape for a little while.

I totally agree! Vacations tend to be to stressful for me. I tend to fight with my family and get ticked off quickly. I value and need my alone time to function. I do love just driving around randomly.

Vacation.  Sometimes you just need a little breathing space.

Such a lovely concept but I never seem to escape or get on a vacation. I had seventeen days off from my day job in December. I still ended up working eight of those days from home. I did manage to get over time at my night time job which rewarded me with a nice check...even after taxes! I have seven weeks to burn this year at my day time job. This year the prospect looks better because I have people in place-trained to do all but two parts of my job. Every time I plan a vacation some expense pops up: son's radiator and thermostat are keeping me from a concert in Chicago. I missed a concert forty five days ago because my daughter needed a security deposit for her college apartment. Dorm fees while she is studying abroad came in today!

I don't think I can escape from my 24/7 job. But I do like to go on a vacation. I prefer somewhere tropical with nice weather. Ocean and the beach with smell of BBQ.
