Do you recycle?

Our trash hauler offers a recycle program, but it is not mandatory. They pick up trash every week and the recycling every other week. We do not have to separate it out -- all glass metal paper and cardboard all go into the same container which we just keep in our garage with a basket in the house by the garage door where we toss recyclables throughout the day - then I just empty it out into the garage whenever I am going out there.  The trash hauler bills us less each quarter that we actively recycle.  I suppose their fee for the landfill (for our household's contribution) is less since we recycle.  I do keep aluminum cans separate and take them over to another recycling place myself to get the extra pennies form those...

We as a small town of 70 save cans for the special needs people in the next town,  I guess the cans are turned in and they have special pizza nights and bowling and field trips !! We have lots of Blue cans if you get the drift!!      And no it's not Pepsi

Of course I recycle. I think it is crazy that people and places don't!

I live in a townhome and my complex does not offer any recycling. My office does, though, so I bring all my recycling in to work to recycle. Or if I am out and about, sometimes I'll recycle cans and such at Target.

Some people where i live have those recycle bins on trash pick-up day, but i dont have much to put in them.

Yes...plastic, paper and aluminum. We put them in a blue container (given to us by the city) and it's sat on the curb once a week to be collected.

Yes I recycle it's a law in our city.  We have to put newspapers and magazines in one bin and cans and plastic in another.  They get picked up every Monday

only cans,,,  not a requirement in our small city.    It is just to much to do as we are seniors and  it can get really heavy to keep paper and everything else that needs to be recycled

I recycle plastic bottles whenever I can. I don’t often buy beverages or bottled water so I don’t have too many to recycle.

i recycle cans and bottles and paer in my weekly recylcing can and save up plastic bags from the store that i keep forgetting to take with me when i go.

Before I moved here I use to recycle plastic, paper, and sometimes metal.  Now I only recycle plastic bottles because there are no separate bins.

My family and I started recycling as an ode to Earth Day in 2010 or 11 and have kept it up ever since.

Where I live there is no recycle program like for picking up trash and such as there are in many larger cities, but I did make an attempt when I first moved here and when I finally took all of the stored crushed cans off to the aluminum recycle place in the next city I actually made $1300.00 at .55 cents per pound. It took nine years of crushing cans and piling them up into bags inside a large shed. It's not something I try to do anymore because the only place near me that recycles is just for cans. I do not uses cans anymore. However, I do compost all of my organic matter and unfortunately have to burn the rest of the garbage due to no trash pick-up service where I live.
