i'd say there will be about as much unnecessary
chaos as Y2K, all for nothing...

Ok...  2012 is the end of the Myan (sp?) calendar.  ...and yes, I think it is like a Y2K thing.  However, here is the whole thing in a nutshell.  Lets just say the Myans were right and the last day of the calendar is the end of the planet.  Are you really gonna care cause you gonna be dead with the rest of us.

OMG. I don't mean any disrespect, but who really knows when the end of the world will be? The only thing we are guaranteed in life are taxes and death. After that...who knows.

They had to stop making the calendar at some point. The date means nothing. They had no way of knowing when the world would end.
