Good for Olivia! However, there are days when I am not sure I want to live that long. I guess quality of life would be a determining factor. :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

A retired deacon in our parish turned 103 in April.  He is still as spry as ever!  But he just buried his 76 year old son last week.  When you live that long, it is a definite possibility/risk that you will outlive your children, which none of us wants to do.

Wow, she must have lived a healthy lifestyle.
I wouldn't mind living that long, if I was healthy & had a good support system & the cash -- it's sad that youth only lasts such a short time..  we're old & dealing with old age issues for such a long time.

I have no desire whatsoever to live that long.

Things keep breaking down, just like your car, and the parts are too expensive and/or difficult to replace.  :-[

The oldest human by the name of Mbah Ghoto lived to be 146 years in Indonesia. He was born in December 1870. He bought his burial plot back in the 1990s waiting to go at any moment, but his time never came until his passing in April 2017.

I personally would not want to live that long because you need a big retirement fund to continue living. I have high respect for centenarians who are able to live such long life because they have lived and survived through history, and they’re able to share real life stories to the younger generation.

Don't think I would want to live that long. I am sure that if I did I may out live my children and I don't want to have to bury any of them. That would be very upsetting.

I guess I am young, because I haven't heard of her, but I have heard of the movie of course.  I would like to live a good bit longer than that.  Things like arthritis don't have to happen.  Put quality into your body, get quality out.

If I had a good quality of life I would love to continue to live as long as possible. I can't think of any of my family members that made it to 90 so over 100 might not be in my future

I used to get Olivia de Havilland mixed up with the actress  Michael Learned from "The Waltons".
