Any book you want to see turned into a movie?

Yes, Dragonlance, at least the first trilogy by Margret Weis and Tracy Hickman.  I know there was a cartoon of the first one with Lucy Lawless and Keifer Sutherland but I’m surprised with over hundreds books sets to its credit, and still being printed, Hollywood never properly touched this.  It’s to fantasy what Starwars was to Syfy.  I think Hollywood instead of making tired remakes of old movies or shameful 5-7 continuing movies (Alvin and the Chipmunks anyone?) they should look at stories like this.  Stories that survived over decades and are as loved now as they were when they were first printed.

Yes, Martha Grimes’s Richard Jury books.  Any one of them.  I own every single Richard Jury murder novel Martha Grimes every wrote and read them each to my grandmother when she was still alive.  In the span of a decade I truly loved Jury’s cop and his nobility best friend Melrose Plant, whom Jury sends undercover when there is a need (which is almost every story).  I think Hollywood should take one and turn it into a movie.  It has everything.  The clash of social societies, friendship, even romance since Carole-Anne Palutski (a resident is in love with Jury but he doesn’t realize it), and the women Jury often run into in a case fall for him.  There is even family with Lady Agatha Ardry, who is Melrose’s aunt.  With Grimes still writing the series all these years later, Hollywood should grab one of these for the big screen.

I always wanted someone to give "Dune" another shot. The books were fantastic and the movie adaptation was just horrible.

I can't remember the author but the title was A Summer of Love! The story's about a young man in the distance future assigned to go back in time to meet his biological great, great, great, grandmother (know in the future as a famous biologist icon) in the 60's during the summer of love. Mission: impregnate her or be erased from existence!

Pochinko by Min Lee. It's beautifully written and set in Japan. It's a saga of Korean family that immigrated to Japan and their struggle to be accepted in this country till today.
