just about finished with my first college course

I start on my last lesson on my first course tomorrow and then when I finish I take my first final.  I will have 21 more courses to go. I started college last month at 42 years old. will graduate with my associate degree  the same year my daughter graduates from high school.

Congrats. Keep going and don't give up. I have five more courses to finish and I will have my bachelors degree. I am doing while raising four kids on my own and working full time.

Way to go. It is never too late to go back and get your education. I give huge kuddos to anyone who does it while raising a family. That is something that I couldn't do.

thank you. I am studying to be a youth minister/counselor for teenagers and young adults. I plan to go towards my bachelor's next.

Good for you...and your daughter! You are being such a positive role model! The percentage of children that go to college increases tremendously when one, or both, parents go to college. Sadly they follow their parent's bad habits as well. Both my wife, and I, finished college and are blessed with having both kids in college right now. My daughter is a Junior and has been on the Dean's list at a top engineering school. She studied abroad, in Singapore, last semester. My son seems to have received extra motivation from watching her success and is aiming for a double major. He also wants to study abroad in his Sophomore year by taking a cruise ship along the Western coast of Africa. My day time office is moving twelve miles away so I am thinking about taking a class so that I can get a discount on the public transit.
