I love candy, my favorite is dark chocolate.  I thought Valentine Day or Easter would be top candy sellers, guess I was wrong, but they are all good candy selling holidays.

I don't buy candy until these holidays.  I don't eat them until then.

I have cut back on candy and only eat it when I have a craving for it.

My guess would have been Halloween topping the sales.   Seems like at Christmas so many folks make homemade.   I enjoy the Halloween sales the day after.   Bought a couple of candy corn bags because that's my favorite.  In one of the packs I bought that has multiple types I got Milky Way Caramel.  I am a big fan of caramel so they won't last long.

I would think Mother's day would probably be right up there with the other two as well. I love candy all year round but it doesn't love my hips very much.

I am very surprised to hear that Christmas sales of candy ARE higher than Halloween's! But I guess with people stuffing candy canes into stockings and people buying chocolates as gifts for others, it does turn out that way.

I can see that although the dismal amount of trick or treaters that came to our door this year certainly did not create a spike in sales! The weather was actually quite nice. I live in Colorado and we have had several snow covered Halloweens which would certainly curb the amount of foot traffic. It seems that a lot of the larger corporations are putting on safety minded trick or treat festivals within the confines of their corporate buildings. Our campus has a little over ten thousand employees and we always throw a big bash for the kids with actors dressed as Disney characters, game booths, decorated cubicles with department themes, and tons of candy. I think that we had pretty close to three thousand kids running around our offices. I was running a game table where kids would throw *bleep* to knock over troll dolls for prizes.

Candy is so awful for you. I'm disappointed that we haven't made movement towards more healthier options

I was surprised to hear that Christmas was more popular from a candy aspect than Halloween. I would have had Halloween first and then went to Valentine's day. Oh well - live an learn.
