phone call from India?

I would be very careful about these types of phone calls. Most of the time they are scams trying to deceive you. If they sound too good to be true, then they very much are.

Unfortunately, there's so many scams out there. I few months ago, I got a call claiming to be from Microsoft and said my computer was infected with a virus. They wanted to remote access to it. But hell no! Just hung up.

A scam...not legit.

India has called me too, and told me I have a virus, and if I don't buy this anti-virus software, I will lose my computer working. My screen had gone red, and it was a mess.

An acquaintance told me how to get out of the screen without destruction on my internet.

Had a friend answer the call and talk to them, the virus took over her computer. She ended up having to get a new computer.

I take no calls from any one I do not know. I will never buy from a company making "cold calls".

These are listed as ponzi scheme that especially seniors are warned about.

I've gotten the scam calls from the IRS, Microsoft, and others.  I even got a scam check in the mail (keep a portion of it and take the rest to someone else)  So BEWARE
