Stash App
« on: December 02, 2017, 03:19:35 pm »
Has anyone tried this investing app?  I was thinking it might be fun to see if I can parlay my FC earnings into something?  Do you have any experience with it, or advice?  Thanks!

I have not tried this application but in perusing the reviews it looks to be a pretty good application for those who are somewhat new to the investment field, offers financial advisers and does so in a fairly inexpensive manner (one dollar a month when balances less then $5,000 are involved and a quarter of a percent annual fee when the balance exceeds $5,000). I am a tightwad, spend my free time reading as much as I can about investments, and am quite proud of the yields and capital gains I have earned and made. I use a trading application that does not charge any fees when buying more common stocks. If I am looking to buy a lesser known stock I have two trading accounts at larger brokerages and opened accounts with them because they promised to provide me with twenty five free trades and no management fees.

Go ahead and do it with small amounts of cash you're not afraid to lose. You'll not lose anything much, but you'll be pleasantly surprised if you have gains. It's kind of neat.

Nothing ventured; nothing gained. And you'll never know until you try.

I have heard good things about it but have never tried it.  Wonder if you can really make good money with it?

I have seen a lot about it, sounds interesting, I am not  a skilled investor but have been researching avenues for people with limited knowledge of investing(like myself), I guess if you invest a small amount then see how it does, that way if there is a loss it won't be huge.

I thought it would be a good way to go, so I downloaded it. I only put in 15$. It's been almost a year and I've only gained two dollars. I don't think it's very good. But it did say that it's a long term investment and not to expect to make money fast. Truthfully, I wouldn't do it. I'm just leaving the money in there until it doubles and then I'm taking it out.

I'd say if you're interested about learning, then go ahead and try it out but don't think you'll make millions with it.

It's a bad idea. Open a ROTH IRA instead.

Me, too. I will need to do more research before I feel confident about using it, but everything I have seen so far has been positive.

I just signed up, haven't done anything with it yet though so I don't know if I will actually use it.
