I never liked candy canes when I was younger, wasn't a big peppermint fan. Now I love them when I can get them. Of course, they don't seem to be the candy or tree decoration of choice anymore, but they can still be found! My mother-in-law used to tell about how she would get candy canes at Christmas and how special and delicious they were. But of course she didn't get candy year round like younger generations do.

I like to enjoy a small candy cane every once in a while.  Can't eat much of it as I try to keep my sweets down and the mint gets a little over whelming after awhile.  Well here is to candy cane day I didn't buy any this year but I do have some dove chocolate with candy cane topping I guess that will have to do lol.

 Candy canes are not my favorite but I do like them every once in a while. I really like them and a cup of hot cocoa.

This is a welcome holiday for me. 🍬 Peppermint is so versatile.  Of course, candy canes symbolize the holiday season.  I think I have a candy cane ball point pen somewhere!  LOL  I do love to use crushed peppermint in baking and hot chocolate and crushed very fine to sprinkle in home made whipped cream in desserts!  I've also been treating myself to those Dove Chocolates -- 'Peppermint Bark' that are individually-wrapped in green foil with a peppermint striped bow design that others have mentioned in this thread.  I guess you could say I've been celebrating this 'holiday' for a number of days now.
