sometimes when the holidays are here, the next door neighbor's party may be loud.
every once in a while you might hear an outburst of laughter.

if thats all you hear is laughter no biggie. Its the ones who are yelling, pounding on the wall, and playing music at ear splitting levels

Be glad it's just a few giggles of laughter!  Thank goodness I'm a bit far from the neighbor's home that I don't hear any kind of inside noise, cause they have a bunch of people there for the holiday!

I actually don't mind the music and laughter on holidays and even weekends, as long as it doesn't go on all night until morning. My neighbor tends to play music loudly, but they are respectful and usually turn it down after midnight.

Our neighbors by them selves are great, but some of their kinfolks are not, The young ones play their music so load at times it seems like it is right in the house  . they pull up in their cars and it is so  darn loud, there has been times we have had to go out and tell them to shut it down. It is only when the neighbors are not at home but the kinfolks show up anyway and they just make themselves at home outside. But  most of it  has come to a halt but still a few who feel like they can  just  do it any way.

Thank goodness I don't have to deal with noisy neighbors.  That must be an exercise in patience, but this past summer, I was in a hotel for a week where it was very important for me to get my sleep and we had next door neighbors that were blasting weird music and didn't start until after midnight for about three nights in a row.  Then in the morning for several days, there were protestors outside the hotel with megaphones, making it impossible to sleep.  Some sort of labor dispute, I think!

As I neighbor, you should ask to join them.  If their noise is going to bother you anyway, you might as well enjoy it.

Christmas is not that bad, it's cold so everyone stays inside so the voices doesn't carry over to my home.  I think it's worse for the summer holidays like July 4th - people are partying outside in their backyard, so loud!  And since the days are longer they party until the night!

I have had my share of horrible neighbors. Those who would blast their stereos and vibrate my walls, early in the morning until late at night.

I admit that I have lost my temper more than once. I do not understand those who seem to think they live in a vacuum.

However, the sounds of music and laughter on a holiday would not bother me. Right now, I live in a duplex, and there is a garage between my apartment and next door, so it has not been an issue for the last five years.

But one day, I know I will end up in an apartment again, and it will once again, drive me insane.

I live around quiet neighbors and for the first time in my life I can enjoy the nature around me
