Anyone ever go temporarily blind from a medication reaction ?

I mixed soda with  a couple of pain killers and  my eyes wouldn't focus(film reel flipping) so I was  pretty much blind for half a day until it passed from my system. Fortunately I was inside my home and  was able to find the bed and go to sleep until it was over.

i have never had that happen at that would be scary  to not be able to see

I've never heard of such a thing! That does sound frightening!    Medications are scary in general. I'm not on any at the moment and hope that I don't have to be, at least for a very long time. Right now I try to find herbal supplements and anything else not drug-related that can help.

Not from medication, but got hit playing baseball and both eyes were swollen shut so kind a blind. Took a few days till i had cracks to see out of, I was a kid at the time so I don't remember that much.  BUT wow that's scary pills and soda could do that.

Whenever I go to the doctor I have to make sure to ask in detail about side effects known/bad reactions but fortunately that was the first and only medicine type problem and that was 25 plus years ago.

Didn't go blind but I did have a side effect where my reading vision was blurry.  Had to wear Dollar Tree reading glasses to read for a few weeks.

Fortunately my condition only lasted a nights sleep and once the combos were out of my system I was fine. Stopped the medication  all together after that. I buy those types of reading glasses for small print(1.25-1.75)

   How is you blood pressure? And other vital signs?

No, that had to be scary! for that reason that's why  whenever I take any kind of medication  I just opt for plain water; because I am not sure of what reaction I might get. Glad it passed over for you and hopefully no damage  wasdone.

That never happened to me, but I took a medication for HBP and my lips swelled 3 times the size of my lips.  Not a pretty site.  I have beautiful lips, didn't like seeing them that size.
