I was a big Roger Maris fan.Maris played at a time when Micky Mantle was the darling of the NY fans.Mantle to his credit loved Maris.It was really a shame after Maris broke Ruths HR record how the fans treated him.It was so bad eventually he got traded to the Cardinals and didnt come back to a NY Old-Timers Day for quite awhile.Eventually he did and sadly he died at a very young age.

He was a DAM good player with humility.

 I am not really a baseball fan. But my favorite player is David Ortiz  of the Red Sox. He was a great player on and off the field. :rainbow:He was a great player on and off the field.

Willie McGee and Ozzie Smith of the St. Louis Cardinals.

I loved seeing Ozzie do back flips on the ball field. What a trip! 

And Willie was so laid back and was still an MVP in 1985 for the National League.
