Pay it forward
« on: February 19, 2018, 07:15:38 am »
Does anyone still participate in "Pay it forward".  I bought/paid for the person's breakfast behind me in the McDonald's driver through the other day.  I didn't realize who it was but it turned out to be one of the people who is especially nice to me who works at my grocery store.  I didn't do it because of that but I think it is neat it worked out that way.  I didn't realize it was her but she recognized my car and said something the next time I was in the grocery store.  Has anyone ever paid it forward for you or have you ever done it for anyone else?

I have thought about it several times but never went through with it. I'm just kind of cynical about things like that, where I'm never sure that the cashiers will actually pay for their food or just pocket the money.  I've been burned way too many times.  I do however, tend to buy peoples lunches and take it to them from time to time...like my mechanic and his workers.  It's really nice of you to do that for people though!

One time while grocery shopping someone had given us $50 to help towards our purchase. we let him go ahead because he only had a few times. we were able to get diapers. as the food was covered under the food stamps.

but we do help people out as much as we can.

I thought about it but never done it. Sometimes I don't have much for myself so can't really pay it foeward. But some day I might be able to do it. And I never had someone do it to me.

I have paid for others on many occasions but never had anyone do it for me.  I do it not to get it back but I do it out of my kindness.  It would be nice to have someone do it just once for me. LOL

Given my current situation and my parents situation I've been trying to be more conscious about that. I'm still not quite there where I can do any real good but I want to.

We had a lady in our Sunday School class tell us about it happening to her.  She had gone through a drive through to get a cup of coffee, only to find that the car in front of her had paid for it.  She couldn't get over the fact that someone had done that for her.  It made her day.

I ALWAYS do this. Whenever I'm at a drive thru or getting a coffee. It's worth every penny to let someone know that they're special. I started to pay it forward when someone in front of me at Starbucks paid for me. I was having a horrible morning and this act of kindness really made me rethink my nasty mood. I restored my faith in people too.  :angel11:

I have never done it. However, it is on my mind and would like to do it someday. I think it is most kind of all those who do this.

Honestly, kindness is my nature so I'm constantly in pay it forward mode.

I keep my good deed to myself, because it is embarrassing to them. I love to do things it makes me feel good. I honestly can say I remember them was a fun thing. When my friend and I were doing well, at thanksgiving we got to shop for a complete turkey dinner and gave it to fill the bus. We did the backpack fill the bus, I shop for kids school stuffs when I don't have any kids. I buy stuffed animals and small tinker Christmas stocking suffers and drop them in the barrel. I love my memories.

Hello! :D :)

I don't know about this thing called pay it forward. When I do something nice I don't expect anything or paying forward in return and a lot of times no one pays it forward. That's ok because I just like doing nice things for people. Have a blessed day everyone. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:
