too hot or too cold
« on: February 22, 2018, 09:19:46 am »
Are you more tolerant of being too hot or too cold?

My friends laugh because I'll be shivering in layers at 70 degrees even though I enjoy it. I live in the desert so I can do 110 no problem but being cold (or "cold") is a treat.

I prefer cold but simply because if I get too hot I get nauseous.  It's like on a warm day and I go into a building that decides not to run the a/c, I can feel it and start getting sick.  I call it a 'no air' thing.  Like when one rides with the windows open on a hot day but there is no breeze.  When you come to a stop, I can feel the heat and get sick.

Hello! :D :)

I prefer the heat I'm from the island Haiti so I guess the heat feels closer to home. Besides, when it is too cold my body can't handle it, it's too much. Have a great day everyone! :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

It seems like with this Graves disease I am either too hot or too cold, just can't seem to  find a medium temp.  But with these pills I sure hope  things get turned around some. Seems like  1 day I am  fine the next day it is something else. But  at least I know 2 more people who have this and we sure can gripe about it together and it helps to be able to talk to someone with the same problems and you  don't feel so alone withit. Most people  just do not understand what we go through.

I can handle all weather temps with proper prep. I prefer 45-65 though .

I would rather not have either but if I had to choose, I would have to go with the cold and then dress in layers.

I don't mind the temperature's being in the 70's, a bit of a cool breeze enough for a light sweater. I would prefer it to be warmer. I like the temperature's to be warmer vs colder!!!!!!!!

I like the cold. I get too hot easily so I hate summer. I easily seat and I hate it when I do. Sensitive to the heat too.

I used to be much more tolerant of cold weather. I am still that guy that wears shorts every where (except work) no matter how far below the temperature was. I hated heat, humidity and any temperatures over ninety degrees. That seems to have changed since I became thinner. I need a few more blankets during the winter and love the nice dry summer that Colorado provides. I am still not a big fan of humidity like I was exposed to in Wisconsin and Florida if I have work to do (or anything outside). Humidity is fine if I can sit in a pool all day or in an air conditioned office. My ideal temperature is between seventy and eighty degrees (once again-no humidity). I love driving with no top on my jeep or windows completely down if I am driving any of the family's cars.

I like the hot, but not the humidity, ugh...  I don't know how you people who live where you get a lot of humidity do it.  Maybe if we had it here I'd get used to it... hopefully I'll never have to :)
