captchas
« on: March 25, 2018, 11:16:35 pm »
The captchas are killing me.  I'm trying to prove I'm not a robot, but there's an automated system on the other end that must be a robot. UGH.  Is it just me, or does anybody else have to do them multiple times, and sometimes still not get them????

They are annoying sometimes. But I just be careful what you type and select so you can get past the captchas.

I've never had trouble with them... if I can't read one, then I refresh it and that usually makes the difference

In the past, I have had some problems with the captchas because I was unable to read the print. The print was blurry. More recently, I have had an occasional problem unable to read but it has not been too often. I also have not had to do them over and over again. I know that captchas can be a problem and I think that it could be made easier.

Have you tried using another browser?

I have had the same experience as Bostonphil -- in the past, I experienced issues with captchas, even refreshing them took several tries.  But the new captchas (that aren't the wavy line ones) are straightforward and I haven't had any problems lately.

I haven't had trouble with the captchas on the ptc or daily e-mail,  they have been straight forward normal print, if all captchas were like these captcha would not be such a dirty word.

The picture ones get me every time. The first one it always claims I've done something incorrect. I think they are pretty annoying.

I find that refreshing them helps most of the time.

I have issues with them at times.  I have vision problems and sometimes when they look kind of distorted, I have trouble getting correctly.
Have a wonderful day!

I usually do very well with the captchas in general.  The only one that gives me a little grief is the one where I have to click on the pictures that show traffic signs.

I do know what traffic signs look like but just about every time I try to complete that puzzle, it slides to the next page.

Oh well.  The only negative I have with this is that it takes a little bit longer to get to my desired page.

I do okay on the picture captchas, but if you give me curly letters and numbers, I sometimes, have trouble.

Trust me, I bet some robots CAN beat these, but if not, one day soon.
