Job Search
« on: May 23, 2018, 01:31:11 pm »
In the .15 cent thing does anyone click the "Job Search" link? If so I just wondered if for your area if it every changes? The exact same jobs have shown up for 2 years when I click that link. I just wondered if others are seeing the same thing?

If you page through, there are actually hundreds of jobs on there. I think they start with what's nearest you (not sure), but they probably stay on until they're filled. I've got a couple I'm thinking of trying.

You can enter any zip code to change the search.  I have looked through JOB SEARCH for a number of zip codes.

After all this time I am really hoping I don't jinx myself by responding. Whatever/whereever you are good luck with that.

I have done that Job Search and it doesn't change that much, so I just don't do those searches anymore.

Well that makes sense. I don't go thru them.  I just see what is on the first page. Just one of the things I click on. I am familiar with indeed and the jobs stay on there forever. There are jobs in my area for places that are no longer even here and jobs that were filled 3-4 years ago.

I am not looking for a job on it.  It is just one of the 4 things I click on.  I have just noticed it never seems to change.  It is always the same thing.  I am familiar with the Indeed website.  And like I said in my last post there are jobs for businesses that are not even located in my town and jobs that were filled a few years ago but the listing is still on there.

From what I understand Indeed has like a webcrawler and it snags job postings and lists them on their site.  A long time ago I applied for a job thru Indeed and then later found out it was a random stupid man that had listed a job on CRAIGSLIST.  I have never applied thru any hosting site since. If I am interested in something I go to their site and see if it is on there.

I have to click on 4 pages to get the 15 cents.  That is just one of the ones I click on.  Don't know why. lol

It changes depending on what you search for on your computer.

I think you misunderstood.  Mine never changes. I don't search for anything. In the paid to click you have to click on 4 pages. I usually click the JOB SEARCH one as one of my four. The jobs listed on what pops up are always the same. They never change.

Now the actual indeed site if you click sort by date then it shows the jobs listed by the date.  You can narrow it down if you want.  I know how to use the site.  I just wondered if others saw the exact same thing when you click that tab as one of your four.  Or if it actually updates for some people.  The first job I see has been on there for around 4 years.

I look at them occasionally just for the heck of it as I'm not interested in finding a job.  For a while one of my son-in-laws (ex I should say)  was and there were several good sounding local jobs I told him about.  Nothing ever came from it but I think he wasn't really wanting to find a job lol

I think most people missed what I was saying.  Indeed, in itself, is a decent site.  I am talking about when you click the link in the 15 cent thing the jobs that show up NEVER CHANGE.  If you go to their actual website then yes from time to time it is different.  But they do not remove old jobs so it is annoying if you actually are looking for a job.  Indeed is basically a web crawler.  They snag jobs from other websites and they post of Indeed.  If you do not believe this then email them and ask them.  Or read deep in the terms of service.  I was surprised at things I learned.
