    Personally, it would not offend me.
    Ethnic foods/menus are everywhere.
    I think you handle it correctly:
    "Sorry, I have food allergies.
     Thank you...but I cannot have any of these foods".

You shouldn't be offended. I'm Jewish, but can't stand Israeli food. It's a matter of personal preferences.

It's not offensive because people like certain things and we all have choices and plus you pay for what you want to have.
