Do you like jack fruit?

Have you ever tried jack fruit and if so did you like it?  I recently tried it because a friend of mine said she loves it.  I did not only not love it I thought it didn't taste good as all.  Another friend said it was definitely an "acquired" taste but it isn't something I would try again lol.

I know it's an expensive fruit.  Particularly here in the midwest (when we can get it even) I work in a grocery store and the produce department received a few.  They cut them up for samples and it was certainly a unique flavor.  I didn't mind it.  I didn't love it either.  It isn't something I'd go out of my way for but if it was in an entree at least I know what I would be getting.

I've never had Jack Fruit... but I see it used frequently in those Chopped cooking shows.

I won't put it on my bucket list, but if I ever come across it, I'll give it a taste.

adrirobi it is I believe supposed to be a tropical fruit.  They will grow in Florida and my friend in Jamaica acted like they might grow a lot there but I love tropical fruits but it is yellow and that is the closest to pineapple it gets (I love pineapple).  Now I got frozen that is all my store had maybe fresh is better but I somehow doubt it.

Jackfruit is a vegetable if its young color green and become a fruit when its ripe/yellow. a big one. Usually found in Asia.

I've never tried it but would love to since if offers so many benefits...Improves immunity, replenishes energy, ensures a better cardiovascular health and a regulated blood pressure, improves digestion and strengthens bones!

I have never heard of jack fruit.  My daughter likes to buy weird fruits and vegetables and try them.
