Senseless shootings
« on: November 24, 2018, 08:34:33 pm »
I wish all the senseless killing would stop. Just found out a women was killed at my neighborhood Walmart, at 2:30pm this afternoon. I thought about going to that Walmart this afternoon with my family, but decided not to because I felt tired. People are not safe anywhere anymore more. It is so sad the way we have to live now.

On Thanksgiving, a guy I know was shot and killed... It's been really sad. He was a great kid and had tons of life in him. It was a shock for sure. And on Thanksgiving of all days.... just downright depressing.  :(

There are shootings every day in this world we live in.  The violence never seems to end.     :peace:

That's so terrible. It seems like there's one every single day and the awful thing is you almost kind of get used to hearing it.

Our society here in America is definitely toxic... more resources need to be spent on fixing our citizens here at home & not giving our tax dollars to fund other countries, including to NATO.   We have over 50,000 homeless on the streets nightly in Los Angeles alone.   Until America focuses on fixing itself, the senseless violence is going to continue... a lot of it here is due to mental illness & gangs... all so pathetic.  I'm glad you decided against going to Walmart & you are safe & weren't around that violence.

What is sad is it is so easy to hate.  People are always quick to blame guns for the issue but even if you took away all the guns, if people can't find a way to deal with their anger other than taking it out on someone else, nothing is going to change.  That's why sometimes it's scary when I pause and think how old I really am but then I think about the things I grew up with and I am grateful to have grown up in a world of Mr Rodgers and Reverend Jessie Jackson.  They taught how to deal with any kind of issue and not to project that anger and hate onto others.

It is very sad that so much of this senseless violence is occurring more and more often.  You definitely have to be aware of your surroundings now.  I have found myself taking note of exit doors when I go to different establishments.  I have my concealed deadly weapons license and do carry a small pistol in my purse.  I was trained on proper firearms handling when I was a young girl.  I pray that I don't ever have to use it but will if the need arises especially to protect my family.
Have a wonderful day!

The senseless shooting that occur everyday are just part of the Toxic environment we live in, and in the past couple of years has gotten worst.  In the area where I live someone got shot because he looked at the other guy's girlfriend and a 10 year old got shot and died walking from her house to the Ice cream truck because some kids wanted revenge for another kid that lived in the same area as the little girl, this shooting need to stop

We have to continue to Pray for everyone and for those people who commit these ungodly deeds. You have keep your guard up when you leave your home or place of work, thieves are always watching. They take your possessions and your life in the blink of an eye. So please be safe this holiday season, don't advertise that you are leaving your homes for the holidays.

I really can't get used to it even though it keeps on happening.

I hate that the police are still targets. Breaks my heart. :crybaby2:
