Warehouse shopping

Which warehouse store do you have a membership with,
Costco or Sam's Club?
I have one with costco. The gas price was $1.75 on Thursday. That is the best price I have seen lately.

I don't have either of those where I live (I don't think I've ever even seen a Costco).  The closest warehouse store is BJ 's warehouse and that is about 45 minutes away.  I have gone to it but it's too far away to go regularly.

I am with Costco and we have had gas around 2.09 which has been better than most of the regular gas stations. Wawa usually comes pretty close.

I signed up for Costco specifically to buy my dog's medicine there. The meds were SO cheap, the membership paid for itself in no time at all. I don't mind paying the vet for meds. But my dog was a giant breed, so my vet actually recommended Costco for the cost savings. We don't buy bulk items, because we don't have the need or space (just two of us in a 1-bedroom apartment). We have purchased electronics for good prices, and the beer/wine/liquor is super cheap.

WOW that is an incredible gas price the nearest warehouse club to me is Sam's and even it is the next town over. I am disabled and my son offered to go in on a membership and do the shopping but it just wouldn't be worth it to me.

We use both Costco and BJ's and we love shopping at both. The gas prices at Costco are the best and it is so much fun going up and down all the aisles to see what they have for sale. We used to have a Sam's Club membership, but it is too far to go to so we stopped going.

We have an executive membership at Costco and use it enough to pay for the membership fee as well as get about fifty dollars back each year. We thought that our purchases would decrease once the kids went off to college but we got extra cards for them and they do most of their shopping at Costco as well (if not more). I fill my gas tanks up there on Thursdays (one person who posted pointed out how cheap it is) or I use my kroger card which brings the gas price down to about a dollar and ninety cents. With the house consisting of my wife and I, it doesn't pay to buy all of our produce drom Costco because it wil go to waste so we still use Kroger, or Sprouts for weekly small order produce purchases. I get my work shirts at Costco and the Roast chicken is always the best deal in town.

I have both Costco & Sam's Club... I buy my gas from Sam's Club because the lines are so much shorter than Costco.  I have the Business Executive Costco & the Plus Sam's... which cost double, but the membership pays 2% cash back at the end of the year on purchases, about $20 for every $1000 spent & with 3 kids that adds up fast & it ends up paying for the membership.  It's easy to spend that much just on gas on multiple cars here in Los Angeles, where everything is a drive & no real public transportation.  I got gas at $2.95 last week from Sam's & thought it was a bargain.  :)

We belong to Sams as there is one about five miles from us. The closest Costco is about 40 minutes away and I have no idea where the nearest BJs is. We do buy a lot of our gas from Sams as well. It is $1.94 now, but we got it for $1.74 one day last week!

We have BJ's but really don't shop there that much so no plans to get any others.

I have one for Sam's club but am going to  give it up. I have to drive 120 miles one  way or 167 the other to use it and it is just  not worth it. When we were transporting  an older person  to the one  city  it was great but now that he is  well he  goes over by himself. so I shop  Walmart  once in a while.  And when I go to my doctor  187 miles we not only  shop  Walmart but Smiths/Kroger.  and I have a rewards card for SK  Save quite a bit and I love to buy their meat. It is great.
