I have two Christmas cacti and two african violets. I also have three pepper plants I'm trying to keep alive to plant in the garden when it warms up and the snow melts...probably in July. LOL.  I used to have around 15 houseplants, but it gets burdensome because they all have different lighting, watering requirements.

I love live plants in a home but I am the original plant killer.  I have killed off so many that I only take on one at a time now and often go for periods without any plants.  I recently gave a plant I had kept alive for over 3 years to a friend because it was looking rather poorly and my friend has a green thumb.  I figured maybe it would have a chance of survival with her!

I have had the same house plants for about 45 years and they are still going strong. I have mostly dieffenbachias, spider plants and Wandering Jew plants. I try to repot them every year and to start a few new ones from cuttings so I can give plants to friends and neighbors. It is good to have plants in your house because they keep your air fresh plush they give a really homey feel to a room.

I love the greenery of house plants but I don't have a green thumb so the ones I have are plastic.

Get well soon

I do have some house plants in my house, but they are not looking so good right now.  I just recently had surgery and haven't been able to take care of them they way they should be taken care of.

Of course. They provide oxygen, look nice sitting there and can actually make you feel better.

Naturally, I talk to them and they always agree with everything I say. Imagine that!  :rose:

The only plant I have is a money tree that was gifted to me.  I'm horrible with plants but I'm happy to say that my money tree is thriving.  :)

Yes, I have them in the living room and the foyer; I like the ones that take toxins out of the air and help you to breathe better. Also, they make nice accessories.

:clover:     :peace:    :clover:    I haven't had a plant in a long time now. I tend to forget that the plant needs water. I just don't have that kind of time to tend to indoor plants. I do like them though.  :clover:     :peace:      :clover:

haha.  My aunt had some house plants and she told me she sat them beside the TV and left the TV on during the day sometimes for the plants.  I asked her why and she said "well you are suppose to talk to them".

I think first off, a lot of people do not grasp the reason of WHY you are suppose to talk to your plants.

Second, I think most people who are plant people do talk to their plants.  I mean they are alive. :D

My mom has a lot of spider plants in the house I grew up in. I have some succulents and this weird plant I got on the last day at my old job. It is supposedly the longest blooming plant and I have to water it by putting ice cubes in the pot once a week.
