Unplanned
« on: March 23, 2019, 10:48:46 am »
Is anyone planning on seeing this movie? I just got tickets a couple of days ago.

I know not everyone agrees with my POV on this subject, but I was just wondering.

I probably won't go see it.  I saw a preview and it looked like it would be good.  I think it is something I would rather watch at home.  I don't know what your personal views are on the subject so I do not know if I agree with you or not.

From what I heard the movie is suppose to be pretty graphic.

If I didn't have this expensive tv service, I would buy into that monthly/yearly movie pass you can see unlimited theater movies. Gr8 present for someone.

I thought that was pretty cheap.  But I think some of them have changed it so you can only see like one movie a month.  They were not expecting people to use it every week.  Kind of like the Savings Catcher thing we talked about. They don't expect people to actually use it and when they do it supposedly costs them too much money.

Our local theater all movies are $5 every day all day.  So it is not too bad.  I still probably would not see this movie in a theater.  Heck the previews made me cry.

I prefer to watch movies at home.  I hate to  go and can't be comfortable watching one after paying big  bucks .  It bugs the heck out of me for the  teen agers who just pop up and down and keep running to see some one, like no one matters but  them.  If they can't set and watch a movie for 2-3 hours then they should stay  home. I  know a lot of  adults feel the same way and they don't  go either.

I have never been to a movie where teenagers keep "popping up and down" to do anything.  I know some people complain about screens from cell phones lighting up.  But if you are watching the movie you should not notice that.  I don't.  Now if a phone is constantly ringing....

I know we want to go see Toy Story 4 when it comes out. :D

My biggest thing right now with going to a movie or any where else is I am not comfortable being in big crowds just because people are so crazy these days.

Not familiar with it - what is it about?

It's about Abby Johnson who formerly worked for Planned Parenthood. She had to be present for an ultrasound abortion after she had moved far up into the organization. It made her realize what was going on and now she's on the pro life side. She even testified before Congress. Not that everyone cares, but it is a baby being destroyed. She cares. I care. Do you care?

And if you do care, you might want to see the movie when it first comes out at the end of this month. I like to support the Christian movies that make it to the theaters.

Sounds interesting, but I don't attend R rated movies.

However after a little research, I am going to make an exception for this one!

I have not heard of this movie but you all are making it sound interesting enough for me to check it out.

I saw the trailer at winter jam.  It looks like an intense movie.  A movie I would like to watch with my daughter when she's a little older.  I too support the showing of Christian movies and music.  But with this one unless I go with some gal pals I don't anticipate seeing it until it comes out on video.

Most relevant quote about the R rating for this movie (from the link provided above by oldbuddy) = "... last week, the Motion Picture Association of America gave the film an “R” rating. That means that a 15-year-old girl can, without her parents' consent, choose to have an abortion – but that same girl cannot see this film about abortion."

Thus continues the devolution of our society and the blatant effort by some to push an agenda by selectively restricting access to some information while simultaneously force feeding other information.  I know that I sometimes tend to get onto a soapbox here when it comes to social and political issues, but I would challenge anyone to explain to me how this is anything but a double standard outrage.

I recently came across an interesting podcast called Red Pilled America. It definitely has some right-wing bias, but it still tells real stories about real people in real situations and will leave anyone who listens objectively to question the liberal agenda and double standard.  I would encourage anyone to listen to just the first two or three episodes and see if you have a good or bad taste in your mouth afterward!  (You can even earn a few pennies doing so if you search for my Paid to Listen to Podcasts thread in these forums with a non-referral based link to a paid podcast app).

It is a very graphic movie explaining to the ones who do not believe it exactly what abortion is.  Murdering an innocent baby.

I care.  There was a baby at church yesterday that was alive and well and healthy, fully formed. Perfectly fine little 5 pound baby.  She was born at 8 months and weighed 4 pounds.  The dumorats have passed laws that says you can legally kill this living being.  Heck they have passed laws now that you can kill them after they are born.

God have mercy on us!
