Ebay turning away customers

Just like many of you here I am a regular customer on ebay (always so much stuff I want to get!) anyway, wanted to make a purchase today but after I log into my paypal account, the gizmo gets stuck on loading and won't let me complete my purchase! Then, I found a lady on the ebay community that has been dealing with this too and apparently, credit cards aren't being accepted either. Stranger still, I tried to reply to her message and all of a sudden I get an error 404 message and her thread was removed, couldn't find it! Any of you being denied buying someone or yourself something you wanted? Oh boy, I hope ebay fixes this problem soon

I have not been on or a couple of days, but my sister said she was having a problem.

I hope she hasn't been trying to buy something for days, that could mean ebay is clueless to this problem and or how to fix it, not good.

I have not shopped ebay lately or used my pay pal account. I did receive an email from pay pal stating there would be some changes made this month.

I sold a heck of a lot of eBay, but not much buying. I logged into my PayPal today without any issues. I hope everything fixes soon for you

I haven’t been on recently but was going to get online today and didn’t get around to it because I am looking for a certain lampshade that I can’t find I will let you know if I have trouble tomorrow when I go to find it but thanks for the heads up I appreciate it

This doesn't mean ebay is turning away customers.  It sounds like there is either a glitch in their system or some kind of a problem.

I am curious as to if anybody has reported the issues to EBAY?  Or just complained about them on random sites in forums?  I maintain more than one website.  If nobody tells me if a problem occurs then I do not know.

I had that happen once.  What I saw on my computer was not what some with other browsers were seeing.  Until somebody informed me there was an issue I did not know about it.  I wasn't clueless and certainly not unable to fix it.  Just needed to be made aware of the issue.

As far as I could see the only changes to PP were that you can't just let money sit in your account like before unless you have one of the two other accounts attached that they were talking about.

Now, I just accept the money and immediately transfer it to the bank.  I don't like that because I don't like having to do a bunch of transfers and sometimes it can be 3-4 in one week.  I would rather have just kept it there and transferred it all at once.

But they obviously were not too concerned with my opinion. haha

Hi nmbrown863, That's too bad I'm sorry to hear that! Sometimes you can't avoid fraudsters no matter how careful you are, I hope you were able to resolve what happened satisfactorily.

Hi countrygirl12, In an indirect way ebay is turning away customers since people can't make purchases, we have no choice but to go elsewhere. A lady mentioned this on ebay and they removed her post, I imagine they know about this and hopefully are working to fix this glitch. As for what paypal is doing, I wish they'd leave things alone, if it ain't broken...

Hi cadence4u, I'm jealous! they like you better! Seriously I'm happy you could buy what you wanted but not sure why most of us can't right now but I'll try later, maybe the issue has been fixed?
