Dating APPS and Fear
« on: June 28, 2019, 03:47:01 pm »
Dating online is tempting but there is so much that you have to be careful of. Turn off your location,(although the app may want to know your GEO location to find your match) Once you connect to that match, turn it off. While on your way to meet them, turn it back on so you can be tracked if something happens to you,( God forbid) meet in a place where there are people around and tell a friend who you're meeting and where you're going. I know everybody isn't a murderer but you never know. Had a murder in VA of a woman who met a guy on an app and he wasn't who he said he was. Actually they went to the same high school.

When I met my spouse we met through a singles magazine (sorta an old fashioned dating APP).

We've been married for 35 years now.

But yes, you do have to be careful.

The daughter of my sister-in-law's best friend was murdered in SC by someone from a dating app - It seems there is so much evil out there not just with dating apps but spouses and boyfriend/girlfriends. Wow I don't know.

With everything going on now I would be very careful with dating apps.

I agree a dating app is tempting when you have been single for a few years and live in a small town. There are too many crazy people out there to take chances.

The world is too scary and crazy these days.  Be careful if you are brave enough to venture out there.

Me and my husband meet each other a religious site, we got each other email address and delete our profile from a that site. Right now we are 8 years married and love each other so much.

Dating online is too risky for me. I prefer the old fashioned way of meeting people--face-to-face.

Be very, very careful.  There are a lot of evil people out there looking for the vulnerable.  Some are good.  Some have found a new way to take advantage in so many ways.

That's nice to hear. I think the hardest is getting to know a person all over again.

Meet over a cup of coffee or soda in a public place and tell someone you are doing this and where you will be.

Yes I agree you have to be careful meeting people nowadays, not just on dating apps but everywhere else too; because people are mean and crazy out here.

Hello! :D :)

Yes, you do have to be careful as so many fake profiles exist. I myself have tried online dating once and it went ok. The truth of the matter is in general you just can't be too careful. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:
