Good to know... I have two 2nd Generation Roku boxes that I upgraded to FireSticks already so I'm good. 

It's sad that technology ages out so fast -- I have a three year old VIZIO Smart TV that hasn't been able to get regular HULU for over a year, only HULU Plus.

So if you purchase a new tv you will likely have to upgrade shortly? I was looking at getting one soon.

We have the Fire Stick and the TV in the living room is a Vizio smart TV. And the bedrooms we don't have a Samsung. We use firestick on both of them.
