I only have an aloe plant in my apartment currently because I do not have a lot of space. I also have a few succulents at my desk at work. I have read that plants increase productivity and happiness.

I love plants but since I don't get enough light coming into my house,it is hard to keep them alive.

You sound like my mom.  She loved plants and was always working outside in the yard.  I kill them.  She forced a jade plant and a Christmas cactus on me several years ago, when we had visited and, surprisingly, they have survived.  I have no idea why or how but, they are still here and she is not.

I would love to have house plants.  I like to look at live plants and I know they support air quality.  However, I can kill almost anything.  The last live house plant I had was about 10 years ago.  I managed to keep it alive the longest of any plant I ever had.  Most I killed off in the first 6 months but this one lasted 3 years.  To this day, I am not sure what happened.  At any rate, I have given up.  It actually became stressful trying to keep them alive. Good luck to all of you with a green thumb.  I am envious!!!

No, but my grandmother has a ton of them throughout her household. I swear, I feel as though I am in a forest every time I visit her, LOL.

I am really not a "plant" person, honestly.

If I had room, I would have them all over the place.  But unfortunately we live in a double wide and there just isn't room for them.  They make the air so much healthier too. :clover:

I have a ton of houseplants. I've had some dieffenbachias and spider plants for almost 50 years and they are still going strong. Every year I have to repot them and start new pots with shoots from them.

Not anymore.  I have enough to keep up with but I have plants in the garden during the summer and fall that I tend to.
