Honestly, I do not think it is all that new.  I think it has been going on for a while.  Then we, the people, figured out it was happening, and started calling them out, and now it is like the stupid internet challenges...
it has become a trend and everyone is doing it.  Who can be the most outrageous.  I fear the world we are living in.
