What brightens your day?
« on: April 07, 2020, 09:55:00 am »
Today I am off work! (still working 48 hours/week....healthcare)

The weather is glorious!  High will be 70!!!!!  I love Spring time!

I heard a cardinal outside my door and I "talked" back to it.

I am making face masks for my family today....YEAH!  I still have fabric scraps from projects over the last 30 years!

I am LOVED!

I have 6 grandkids (7 in a few more days) that make me laugh and entertain me so much.  I miss them while the stay at home thing is happening.  They have little colds and my husband just got out of the hospital for an asthma thing.  So they can't come around.  Pretty soon though they will be back.  I have been talking to them on the phone and facetime.  They crack us all up with their stories and antics.

Just hearing from daughter each day and that is doing ok.  She is working in hospital as a dietitian but luckily they have enforced that they can only talk to the patients over the phone or to the nurses for tube feeding instructions

Good for you on both the glorious weather and the face masks! I have no ability to sew, so I got on Etsy and ordered some face masks. Hopefully they'll get here before I have to go to the grocery store again. What gets me is that a month ago, the CDC was saying that face masks wouldn't help anybody if they used them. Now they're warning people not to go out into even to the grocery store without one! Oh, well, hindsight is 20/20.  :peace:

It was a beautiful 85 degrees here.  Getting ready for some more gardening.

Planning (I'm a big time geek, I know lol), Netflixing, cooking, getting in a good work out that I didn't feel like doing, but most of all my kids.

My day is bright by waking up and knowing that my family is all healthy, but what makes my day easier and brighter than anything are my Grand Children, 1 of them lives here with us and she is the sunshine that warms up the day.  My other grandson comes to visit 3 times a day, they live up the road, and we make sure that the kids play with each other, since they cannot go to preschool right now.

As depressing at it will sound, nothing brightens my day. I would say being alone does but being a house full of people is not conducive to that end.

I am also thankful for SnapChat.  Our daughter sends snaps nearly every day of our 2 year old granddaughter.  It makes being apart tolerable!
