Reopening States and COVID-19
« on: May 01, 2020, 01:39:13 pm »
We are a somewhat small county but the PA Health Office put us in the same category with the eastern border part of the state with the highest COVID-19 cases and deaths from 1700 cases to Philadelphia's over 12000 cases and 424 deaths. Our county only 368 cases with 6 deaths, yet the governor won't allow our county to partially reopen because of it. I find that totally unfair. We should never have been listed as that part of the state. We're almost in the central part of the state.   >:( >:(

Our lovely governor has extended our stay-at-home crapola even though he lives upstate in a densely populated area and we are downstate with few viral problems.  :bs:

His wife is in another, much warmer, southern state on a big horse ranch enjoying herself.  :o I heard this morning on the radio that he finished paying for it right after his election. He does not love us. Pity.  :angry7:

If they open part of the state you know that people will travel to those parts.  I will stay at home and try to keep others safe while I am trying to keep myself safe

Our county had its first death yesterday. I do not live in a big city just a small town. We are supposed to open up May 8th but I am still going to stay home.

Just because it's open doesn't mean you have to go out.  If you have to work make sure your employer is doing the right thing and if not report them.  Wear a mask and protect yourself.  They can open all they want I personally will only go to the grocery store.  I will not be sitting in any restaurant, going to any mall, movie theater etc.  I'm spending my summer in my back yard.

Our state is loosening the restrictions.  But I'm skeptical about opening everything.  I'd be too terrified to go to a restaurant or mall.

Are you infected?  Unless you have this virus you are not keeping people safe by staying home. You can do what ever you want to and that is fine. But I am so sick of hearing how "I" need to wear a mask to keep others safe. "I" am NOT sick so me wearing a mask is not going to keep you safe. YOU wear a mask to keep you safe.  I agree with linderlizzie this crapola has got to stop.

Every one does not have that luxury. Some people have to work.  The funny thing is through all of this our Walmart was open and everybody in our county has been there.  It has been packed every day since the start of this nonsense. And not ONE employee has contracted this virus.  Can you say "hoax" !!!  But hey, now the dumos know how easy it is to control the masses.

Wearing a mask is not only unhealthy long term, but also unconstitutional.

Bottom line is- Virtue Signaling. People want to be seen wearing a mask because it shows they 'care' more than anybody, not because it does anything. Makes them feel like they've cured polio.

It's so stupid. You can't catch CV in Walmart, but going to church is a danger we can't risk!

The Dems just wanted to hijack the country from Trump. Heaven knows they tried every other way.

Wow, I can't believe you have this attitude. I am very much for TRump being gone, I can't stand anything about him: whiny voice, ugly face, his inability to handle criticism, or anything else for that matter. But to suggest this was the Dems doings, just to try to discredit him, is ridiculous, he has done a super job of that all by himself.

So I'm just curious what everyone's status is on their job if they had one pre-COVID19? I was laid off on March 17, and went back to work on May 5th. I work in a restaurant, which is a bit scary, but so far our county has zero cases. Although all but 1 neighboring county have cases. In fact, we had another death in our state yesterday, but we are still under 500. How are things where you are?  ???  8)
