Weird cures for headaches
« on: July 21, 2020, 10:26:56 am »
I bought a peanut butter milkshake to cheer up my sister when she had a headache and she noticed it got better soon after she had some. Next time she had a headache I bought her another one as a joke that it would cure her, and it happened again. Next time she tried eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and that helped! Strangely it doesn't seem to work every single time... we're trying to figure out why it works at all.

Any other odd headache tricks to share?

It could just depend on the headache...possibly it was due to hunger in which case food would help....I find drinks like smoothies and water tend to help if I have small headaches too

I never heard of that but I will tell my sister.  She has terrible migraines, hopefully it might help.

Thank God I don't get headaches except for hunger headaches or when I don't have my coffee in the morning, but I heard that putting banana peel on your forehead will help.

Possibly dehydration might be the problem that's causing the headaches and any liquid would be helpful.

Migraines might be a different story. I feel sorry for those that have that kind of headache.

I don't get headaches anymore, but I would take ibuprofen and rest if I did.

Drink water, use your AC (air conditioner)...any other ways?
I think walking and exercising also helps.

I've heard that dill pickle juice works too!  I haven't had a headache in a long time, but think it would be worth a try to drink pickle juice.

Wish I knew about this peanut butter thing when I used to get headaches a lot back several years ago or even see if it might work for migraines which I used to get like twice a year. Now, I just sleep it off.

Probably migraines.. she gets them like clockwork, they last 2-3 days and no painkiller will touch it.

Do you think it is better to practice traditional medicine or to self-cure? Didn't you think it could lead to bad aftermath? Maybe you should just go to the doctor?

I agree that you should not self-medicate, but rather traditional medicine. My friend almost got himself into a big brain gap. Thank God that at the last moment he turned to neurologists from a https://brooklynneurologist.com/  wonderful company. They quickly raised him to his feet and everything worked out, but if he pulled further or healed himself, there would be problems.
