You believed as a kid. Like step on a crack break your mother's back.  Or Santa won't come if your awake.

I have never been superstitious at all.  I can't really remember any stupid thing I believed. I remember a couple of things I thought as a young kid (nothing I would post online) that I more or less just misunderstood. Kind of like song lyrics you hear all your life and as an adult you hear the same song and finally realize what the lyrics actually mean. lol

When I was about 5 years old, my parents got divorced, a very bitter and acrimonious divorce. My brother and I would see our dad every Sunday, and every once in a while he'd take us to a movie. When we'd go to the concession stand he'd say, "You can have popcorn or you can have Coke, but you can't have both, because it'll make you sick to your stomach." Well, I believed that for a very, very long time. As a matter of fact, I was an adult going to the movies with my mom and I said, "Mom, don't order popcorn and Coke together, because it'll give you an upset stomach." She said, "That's nonsense! Who told you that?" I said, "It was Dad." And then she said, very bitterly, "That's because he was too cheap to buy both!"  :peace:

When I was just old enough to begin to sort of read, I was deadly afraid of touching the REC button on the remote control because I sounded it out and decided it obviously said WRECK, as in, pushing this button will destroy the tape or the TV or whatever, and I'd certainly be in trouble for that. I thought that was a pretty dangerous feature and wondered they even had that on there.

So which one did you more often choose to have as a child?  ;)

Growing up my mom had believe do not run with scissors, walk under the ladder, if you have a child who walks but all of sudden starts crawling than you will have unwanted visitor.  Don't walk over someone that is laying down on the floor, we had to reverse if we did it. She had us convinced that the tv comes on for only 3 hours a night. So we did our homework ate and watched one of tv a day.  It took until we were in our twenties to find out the truth.  I was raised in a different country.  We never questioned our parents on anything,
