Homemade corn muffins

This is for  my homemade corn muffins. Here is the recipe

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tspns baking powder
1/2 tspn salt
1 egg beaten
1/4 cup canola oil
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Spray muffin pan with cooking Spray

In a large bowl mix together cornmeal, flour,sugar,baking powder,and salt. Add egg,oil,and milk. Stir well . Spoon batter into muffin pan.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.

Yields 5 big muffins

I have to get flour, then I will try your recipe.  I usual make make My corn bread as muffin tops it will be nice to try something different.

Thank you very much for sharing the recipe. I also found that many of the corn muffin mixes from supermarkets are super convenient and many times they are on sale as well, $0.99 for a box. My son loves home made corn muffin and I enjoy eating them a lot too.

The recipe seems pretty simple. Those are the only type of recipes that I like. I do not like using a lot of different ingredients. I may give it a try. Thanks.
