Thoughts please

Do you think that how an adult child treats their Mom is how he will treat their wife/girlfriend? or can they be one way with the Mom and nicer to their wife/girlfriend.....asking for a friend

Yes.  I have a good friend who complains that her boyfriend treats his mother like a queen but treats her like a second-class citizen.  That's her story anyways.   But I know my spouse used to treat his mother better than me and it didn't bother me (I did the same with my mom.)  ;) ;)

I would say the bolded answers your question but I've heard that the way a guy treats his mother is the way he will treat his girlfriend/wife so it really depends.

I think that it depends on how the mom treats the child when they are growing up.  If the mother abandons the kid for some reason could affect they way they deal with other people.

If a man disrespects his mom he won't respect his wife.

No.  I dated a guy who didn't have the greatest relationship with his mother.  He didn't disrespect her per se just didn't like her actions and attitude.  But he treated me fine.

It depends the character of the wife/girlfriend.  Some men can treat their Mom with but can attempt to treat the wife/girlfriend without respect if she will put up with that sh**.  Some women will put up with such treatment just to say they have a man.  A scorpion comes to mind for the woman who will be respected.

Depends on the personality and character of the person but usually people see their mom and girlfriend as two totally different purposes in their life and will treat them differently or accordingly.

I've always heard that too but I don't find it to be true typically, I think it mostly depends on the person's character.

Do you think that how an adult child treats their Mom is how he will treat their wife/girlfriend? or can they be one way with the Mom and nicer to their wife/girlfriend.....asking for a friend
