Did you have to take penmanship in school?

This will show your age lol. Do you have nice hand writing. I watched my kid do cursive his signature is more like a logo stamp geez. in my grade-school days,  penmanship was a course and a hard one. good exercise for the hands.

Yes I am pretty sure that I had to take penmanship in school.  Had to learn to write my name in cursive.  Now they don't even teach cursive writing in school.

Sure did, we had to practice until we could write the letters like the ones on the blackboard.  My husband has beautiful handwriting, he went to Catholic schools when he was in elementary school and the nuns were strict and from what he said you learned or else.

After learning how to print, then the hard part came to write in cursive.  I must say I never found it hard to do.

I learned it in the third grade. Still don't sign my name as well as I can but I've seen plenty of crappy signatures from others so who cares.

I remember about third grade we started learning cursive writing. It wasn't called penmanship.
