Do you believe in God?

Whether you do or you don't, why?

yes I do. I have felt his presence many times in my ups and downs of my life. I have had prayers answered in a positive way, and prayers answered in a way that I thought was all wrong for me....then I figured out that it was best. I look around at the world, and I know that there is no way that it could have just "appeared' or been a "big bang". I feel in my heart that God is here and in control. I admit that I can't prove it in a way that most want proof, but I guess that is what faith is.

Maybe in a way, I have to believe. If I didn't think that there was something beyond the grave and that I would see my son and 2 babies again, I think I would feel like giving up completely. I cling to that hope in Christ,

His invisible qualities are clearly seen.

https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/wp20130801/believe-in-god/

Also ponder this. The bible has been around for 1000s of yrs even when mankind and Satan have tried to get rid of it.It has been translated into 1000s of languages. It has shown its divinity by predicting the future. Some examples are in Isaiah 40:22 that the earth is round....when many thought it was flat.

Also the prediction of Jerusalem falling to the Roman empire in 70 CE.Jesus warned his followers when they see Roman armies encamped around the city to leave. In 66 CE Roman armies did just that but left. The sign Jesus gave. His followers heeded his advice and left.A few yrs later many died or were taken captive and Jerusalem fell in 70 CE.

So what do you think?

Jesus gave all the signs that point to the last days of this Satanic system, one of them in Math 24:14 the good news being preached worldwide that Gods kingdom or government is the only hope for mankind to survive and live.Since 1914 Jehovahs organization have been doing that WORLDWIDE!!!Even in the Pandemic the preaching work goes on in various ways. For almost 2 yrs the JWs havent had a meeting or preach door to door cos of the virus. The way they have handled the Pandemic is unreal because God is directing his people how to get around it and be safe....yet word is getting out that soon God will get rid of this Satanic system soon and a 1000 yr period will usher in with Jesus ruling from heaven to cleanse the earth and bring dying mankind back to perfection again as A&E once were.Jesus also said millions will be resurrected from the grave to hear the truth when they might have died in ignorance NOT knowing it and have a chance to live forever in a paradise earth.Remember what Jesus told the evil-doer that died along side of him after the man asked for forgivness and to be remembered.Jesus told him after he read his heart he would be resurrected and have a chance to turn his life around and live in a paradise earth under the rule of Gods kingdom where Jesus will be king of.

When all the earth is back to perfection Satan and his demons will be unleashed again to try and destroy what Jesus has built up.He will succeed in bringing down many and then will be put out of existence forever.

Never again will Jehovahs rule be challeneged. As the bible says, the righteous will inherit the earth forever and 144000 will be taken from earth to go to heaven and rule with Jesus. The 144000 resurrection has already been going on since 1914.Billions will live on the earth in paradise forever under a righteous government as was supposed to be since A&E were created and they and Satan put a glitch into it.....but as the scripture says in Genesis and was the first prophecy the seed<Jesus>bruised Satan in the head while Satan only bruised Jesus in the heel. The head symbolized a complete knockout blow. You can read it in Genesis after God pronounced sentence on A&E and the serpent.

Thanks for asking. Yes, I believe. It takes way more faith to be an atheist than to be a Christian. I hope you believe as well.

God's word is truth and where else can you find that? And God's handiwork is visible everywhere. The world is obviously the work of intelligent design, not a random accident.

Plus I want to go to Heaven.  :angel11: Will I see you there?

I don't so you won't be seeing me up there, assuming it exists at all.

Back on 10/21 in the Rude for no reason topic you disagreed what Jesus said in his Sermon on the Mt and i scolded you because i knew the reason why you did.So i am not surprised at your answer to Linder and why you created this topic.

The only reason why I gave such a complete answer to your topic here is because it gave me a chance to give a complete witness to others,NOT you!!

Trust me,I knew your status already on God,Jesus and the bible.

I know you get your satisfaction on mocking them. You have lots of company in this world. So live your 80/90 years and fade away like the dew in the morning.

Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need Jesus also said in the sermon.

At least if you said hell didnt exist you woulda been right.

That makes me very sad stevensm4. Since you have a choice, I don't know why you'd want to choose Hell over Heaven.  :confused1: Fortunately for you, God loves you anyway. He did send his Son to save your soul and all he asks you to do is believe in Him and what he did for you.  :notworthy: However, I also know it's true that many more will not believe than believe. Too bad. It's a sad way to spend your life, IMO.  :crybaby2:

This may seem contradictory, but it is the best way I can attempt to explain it. I do not "believe in God" but instead I know that God exists.

James 2:18-19

18  Nevertheless, someone will say: “You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 19  You believe that there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder.+

Certainly Judas believed God and Jesus existed. He even had the honor of being 1 of Jesus apostles.

He turned to Satan as a god sadly and was a thief.Jesus said it would have been better off if Judas wasnt born.

Hopefully you get the point of James 2:18-19

Satan has blinded many if you just believe in God and Jesus you will go to heaven.Far from it thats why James said even the demons believe and shudder.

Faith without works is dead.

Absolutely. I can only say that I have felt his presence, seen my prayers answered, and believe what I read in the bible. My faith is sometimes tested like when my son died; however, I still feel that he is real and very much a part of my life. It isn't easy to explain a deep feeling. I think that most people believe in a higher power, however not everyone lives like there is a moral compass.

I was probably making a bad comparison. Belief implies the possibility that what you believe in might not actually be real. Children "believe in" Santa Claus, the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny, etc. With God it's not about 'belief' but 'knowledge" of His existence. There is no doubt that He exists.

I was just trying to be clever in my response, but probably missed the mark.

Just say you support Romans 1:20 and when ignorance prevails with those that say ,"men wrote the bible"remind them men were like a secretary taking dictation and they are Gods words/thoughts and then remind them Satan and men tried to get rid of the bible and failed.

In the long run the domino effect will always be with the foolish ones. But even if 1 person gets something out of Romans 1:20 its worth mentioning it and im sure Jehovah will appreciate what you said.
