Will Smith OSCARS

If you watched the OSCARS why was Will Smith laughing at the joke and then Will Smith slaps Chris Rock,  who was at fault ?

From my understanding Chris Rock made a joke about Jada's hair.  Will Smith laughed at first, but then saw that it had upset his wife.  I think they are both at fault.  Chris Rock should have not made the joke and Will Smith should not have slapped him.

Chris Rock has also several times before made comments about Jada.  So it was just an accumulation of remarks.  She has a disease  that causes you to lose your hair, so the jokes have been in very poor taste.  Too bad it happened, was bad for both  of them.  On her podcast she has been saying how tough it is to go out at all with the hair problem.

You will see more of this go on cos of the times we live in.

Even sports teams have different names now.Don Rinkles might get shot today. It was more acceptable yrs ago even tho it still wasnt really acceptable.

My opinion is 2 wrongs dont make a right.Violence is never the answer and Chris Rock should pay attn more to his tongue.

Im sure we all have let our tongue displease others.

Jesus said to treat others kind and we would want the same treatment back from them.Very wise if we all remember that even tho because of imperfection we still err.

to my way of thinking they were both at fault. Chris Rock May not have intended anything by the comment but it was in very poor taste. to joke about a very sensitive health condition is not funny.
Will smiths violent response to the comment was definitely not appropriate! :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

I agree, but it is done, Will Smith has apologized numerous times including to Chris Rock.  But Chris Rock has not apologized for such a mean spirited and tasteless joke for all the people who suffer from this,

Maybe Chris rock is jealous over,,,,. Why would Will show physical violence. Maybe this is a scam for going to WAR because everyone knows if Will took this to court, this situation would make much money for other victims of any kind of bullying.  As you can see...bullying can change one's life in both ways.

It's not right to make fun of someone's medical condition so I understand why will did it.

I thought the comment by Chris Rock was inappropriate and inconsiderate.

I think a man sticking up for his wife is the right thing to do - maybe he shouldn't hav hit chris but I could certainly see why he was upset.

I think Will Smith is the one to blame wordle because the other person was just joking but Will Smith's reaction to punching people in the face is just too much. getting over it

When I first saw it, I thought it was a publicity stunt. Like it was rehearsed by them as some sort of prank.

Chris didn't know she had alopecia. He just thought she was sporting a "new hairstyle" like some women are doing. If he would've know, I don't think he would've made that joke.
