My guys are around the same age and on the hone or when they are leaving they always say something, maybe just love ya, but something.  So it is not all guys.

Oh my son will say i'm leaving now bye. He's a police officer so I ALWAYS want MY last words as "I love you" God forbid if something happened :(

I have one son who says it routinely and the other one says it reluctantly, but I take what I can get. I love 'em both so much it's ridiculous. I am blessed to have two wonderful sons.

I have a wonderful daughter too, but this post is "a guy thing" post, and I didn't want to leave her out when talking about wonderful children.  8)

I'm glad you included your daughter. My daughter tells me as well. My kids are great but both coming from the same parent I just dont get why my daughter says it often but my son wont. He emailed me once and said "I love you Mom but dont expect to hear it in person" I just dont get it

My son who is 13 no longer says I love you as well, starting a couple of years ago. I miss that.

Some people think certain things “aren’t guy things,” but honestly, a lot of them really are — even cleaning. My boyfriend, for example, always keeps everything tidy, and he’s totally confident about it. He even got into robot vacuums, and now he’s checking bobsweep on sales to upgrade because it makes cleaning even easier. Showing love or taking care of a home isn’t about gender at all — it’s just being a good person.
