Can games teach us patience and focus?
« on: September 01, 2025, 01:41:48 pm »

Something that caught my attention recently is how certain card games require players to wait, observe, and think before making a move. At first, I didn’t realize it, but after spending an evening playing with friends, I noticed how much calmer and more focused I became during the game. It wasn’t about winning or losing, it was about learning to slow down and enjoy the process. Do you think these kinds of games can actually help people develop patience?

That’s an interesting thought, and I think you’re right. I once read an article comparing a few games here: https://techobserver.in/article/andar-bahar-vs-teen-patti-whats-the-difference-315341/ and it showed me how some simple rules can encourage players to stay attentive. Personally, I find that card games help me concentrate better than any app because they force me to stay engaged in the moment. Waiting for the right card actually becomes part of the fun.

For me, patience is something I never thought I could learn from playing games, but it makes sense. Watching others think about their moves, while you wait for your turn, naturally slows the pace. Even if I’m not playing, I enjoy observing because it feels peaceful compared to fast digital distractions.

For all those who still find choosing games painful because there are just too many, I recommend a simple tactic that I use myself. I’m playing in rollingslots now, and there are really a lot of slots, each one looks worth trying. I decided that every 2-3 days I’ll try a new slot, just picking them in order. This way I’ll be able to play a lot of different games.

I just look for surveys that are short and pay at least a few cents. If I get disqualified too much in a row, I take a break and come back later.

Totally agree—slowing down really changes how you play. Was messing around on a KOITOTO online casino site, and even just watching the cards and waiting for the right moment made me more focused and patient. It wasn’t about hitting big wins, just paying attention and enjoying each turn.
