Choosing the Right Telehandler in 2025
« on: September 04, 2025, 02:45:45 pm »
I’ve recently started looking into equipment for a small construction project, and someone suggested I consider a telehandler. I’m trying to figure out what to look for before buying. Has anyone found a helpful article or guide to understand the key features?

I was in the same position a few weeks ago while preparing for a mid-sized construction project. A contractor friend recommended getting a telehandler for its versatility. I had no clue where to start until I came across this article, which laid out all the key features to consider in 2025. It covers everything from lifting capacity and reach to safety systems and attachments. The best part is how clearly it explains each feature in simple terms, making it ideal for buyers who aren’t experts. It really helped narrow down my options and gave me the confidence to choose the right machine for my needs.

Hey, this telehandler thread is helpful but my worry is different. I am less concerned about picking the right machine and more worried about starting the actual build without knowing if my plans have hidden problems. Has anyone come across a good non salesy article that explains how to catch design conflicts between architects and engineers before breaking ground? Something that covers what to look for in drawings and how to avoid costly surprises later on.

Sure. I stumbled onto this topic by accident. An engineer mentioned that most overruns come from things that could have been spotted in the drawings months earlier. That sent me looking. Found a solid breakdown at https://www.fields-builds.com/blog/cutting-costs-avoiding-delays-constructability-reviews It explains how checking documents before bidding can catch mismatched ceiling heights, conflicting pipe runs, and missing steel. None of it is glamorous but each one turns into a huge change order if found late. Saved me from a column right in the middle of a parking aisle.
